TRANSCREATION
The art of adapting content
Transcreation can be defined as translation that requires more than the mere act of transferring a text from one language to another. People may think that transcreation is just like translation. It’s similar, but it's not just that.
Outside the realm of marketing and advertising, the way we communicate, manage, and interact with others changes when we speak another language.
We need the target audience to receive messages in the same way other audiences would. The target market must understand the messages in the same way, even if this means having very different texts in several languages. What counts in the end is to represent the message of the project in another language all while maintaining the context, intention and objectives.
Transcreation is a technique that requires both translation and the use of all our creativity. The translation of slogans and publicity campaigns requires extra effort in order to resonate with different cultures.
